The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
