The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
