We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
