So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
