Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
