Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them. 1 [And Noah] said: "O my people! I am but a plain warner to you, [sent to tell you] 2 [Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me. 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said; 'My Lord, I have called my people by night and by day, 5 but the more I called, the farther they fled. 6 And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and wrapped them in their garments, and persisted, and waxed very proud. 7 “I then called them openly.” 8 Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly 9 I said to them: “Ask forgiveness from your Lord; surely He is Most Forgiving. 10 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 11 and will aid you with worldly goods and children, and will bestow upon you gardens, and bestow upon you running waters. 12 What ails you, that you look not for majesty in God, 13 "'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages? 14 Have you not regarded how God created seven heavens one upon another, 15 And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp? 16 And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth. 17 "'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)? 18 "'And God has made the earth a wide expanse for you, 19 ‘So that you may tread the wide roads in it.’” 20

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
