Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 From the guilty. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
