Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
