The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
