We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
