Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
