Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In the high empyrean, 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
