The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 3 He created man of a sperm-drop; and, behold, he is a manifest adversary. 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 and you find beauty in them when you drive them home in the evenings and when you take them out to pasture in the mornings. 6 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, 7 He has created horses, mules and donkeys, so that you may ride them, and also so that they may be put on show, and He creates other things beyond your knowledge. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
