The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
