3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
