Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 Till the appointed day." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
