The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
