Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 when fetters and chains shall be on their necks, and they shall be dragged into 71 into boiling water and then they will be burned in the fire. 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 They will be told, "This (torment) is the result of your unreasonable happiness on the earth and of your propagation of falsehood. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
