Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7
And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 Until when he comes before Us he will say (to the devil): "Would to God there was a distance of the East and West between you and me, for you were an evil companion!" 38 It will be said [to such a person], "You have done wrong. Having partners in punishment will be of no avail to you today." 39 Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muhammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error? 40 But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them; 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 it is certainly a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be called to account. 44 And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped beside the Beneficent? 45
