If they belie you, say: 'I have my work, you have your work. You are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do' 41 And among them are some who listen to you; so will you make the deaf hear even if they do not have any sense? 42 And of them some look towards you; will you, then, guide the blind, even though they can see nothing? 43 Verily Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught but mankind wrong themselves. 44 And on the day when He will gather them as though they had not stayed but an hour of the day, they will know each other. They will perish indeed who called the meeting with Allah to be a lie, and they are not followers of the right direction. 45 Whether We let you see some of that with which We promised them, or We call you to Us, to Us they shall return. Allah is witness of the things they do. 46 To every people (was sent) a messenger: when their messenger comes (before them), the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. 47 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 48 Say [O Prophet]: "It is not within my power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, myself, except as God may please. For all people a term has been set: when the end of their term approaches, they can neither delay it by a single moment, nor hasten it." 49 Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?" 50 “So will you believe it only when it has occurred? What! You believe in it now, whereas you were impatient* for it before? (* Eagerly demanding for it to occur.) 51 Then it will be said to them who wronged themselves: "Taste you the everlasting torment! Are you recompensed (aught) save what you used to earn?" 52 Yet they want to be informed if it is true. Say: "By my Lord, it is the truth. You cannot invalidate it." 53
