S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad: By the Qur'an, Full of Admonition: (This is the Truth). 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they called, but time was none to escape. 3 And they were surprised that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers said, “He is a magician, a great liar!” 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or, have they the treasuries of the Mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Giving? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 There was none of them but called the apostles liars, so just was My retribution. 14
