(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
