The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and continuous shade, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 We have made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
