No! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
