Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This Book has beyond all doubt been revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: 'He has forged it himself' Say: 'No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you can warn a nation to whom none has warned before you, in order that they are guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He regulates all affairs from high to low, then they rise to perfection step by step in a (heavenly) day whose measure is a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 6 who has created all things well. And He originated the creation of man out of clay, 7 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; 8 Then proportioned and breathed into him of His spirit, and gave you the senses of hearing, sight and feeling. And yet how little are the thanks you offer! 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
