So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
