Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
