Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Have We not made the earth a repository 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 What is promised will surely come to pass. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 And when the time comes for messengers -- 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
