SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
