The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
