Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
