Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
