Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
