Al-A'alaa

The All High (Al-A'alaa)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
