The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
