Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, writers 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
