THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
