Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 We glorify God." 166 They used to say before: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
