And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
