Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
