Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
