And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Ruh (the Spirit); Say: "The Ruh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little." 85 If We willed, We could take away that We have revealed to thee, then thou wouldst find none thereover to guard thee against Us, 86 except by the mercy of your Lord. He has certainly bestowed great favors on you. 87 Say: Verily, though mankind and the jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another. 88 In this Quran, We have set out all kinds of examples for people, yet most of them persist in denying the truth. 89 and so they say: "[O Muhammad,] we shall not believe thee till thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth, 90 Or thou have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth therein abundantly; 91 Or you make the heaven fall upon us in fragments as you have claimed or you bring Allah and the angels before [us] 92 or that there come to be for you a house of gold, or that you ascend to the sky - though we shall not believe in your ascension (to the sky) - until you bring down a book for us that we can read." Say to them, (O Muhammad): "Holy is my Lord! Am I anything else than a human being, who bears a Message (from Allah)?" 93
