The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
