And We sent Moses with Our signs, and a manifest authority, 96 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they did follow the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was no right guide. 97 He shall head his people on the Day of Resurrection and cause them to descend into the Fire, ill is the descent descended! 98 They were pursued by a curse in this (deceiving life of this world) and (so they will be pursued by a curse) on the Day of Resurrection. How bad is the curse (in this world) pursued by another curse (in the Hereafter). 99 This is an account of (the fate of) the towns which We relate to you; of them are some that stand and (others) mown down. 100 And We did not oppress them at all, but it is they who wronged themselves – therefore their deities, whom they worshipped other than Allah, did not in the least benefit them when your Lord’s command came; and due to them, they increased nothing but ruin. 101 Such is the punishment of your Lord when He seizes the towns in the midst of their sins: His punishing grip is terrible and severe. 102 In this surely is a sign for him who fears the torment of the Hereafter, the day when mankind will be assembled together, which will be a day when all things would become evident. 103 And We defer it only to a term already reckoned. 104 On the Day of Judgment no one will speak without the permission of God. Some will be condemned and others blessed. 105 Those who are wretched shall be in the Fire: There will be for them therein (nothing but) the heaving of sighs and sobs: 106 [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends. 107 ۞ Those who are blessed shall abide in the Garden; they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Such bounty shall be unending. 108 Have no doubt as to what they worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before [them]. We shall certainly give them their share in full, without diminishing anything. 109
