Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
