Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
