The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
