In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
