Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
