The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
